Quarantine Letter #2

Dear Church Family,

In light of the steps being recommended by officials related to the spread of coronavirus, we will not be meeting at our church facilities on upcoming Sundays for our weekly worship gathering.

In lieu of our normal worship gathering, we are providing a shared liturgy to worship together in our individual homes for upcoming Sundays. In this way, we will go on being the church even as we modify some of our rhythms for the sake of our neighbors.

Though we will not have our sanctuary this morning, we will have each other. It’s a good reminder that the church is ultimately not a building, but a people, and even more, God’s people, the bride of Jesus Christ. We can pray, sing, and listen to God’s Word knowing that He is present with us, feeding us by His grace.

And as is true Sunday to Sunday and every moment in between, we need Him. Thankfully, we have Him!  For what is our only hope in life and in death? That we are not our own but belong — body and soul, in life and in death—to our faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.
